網上廣撒作弊帖

2002年下半年開始,有人在網上帖子:有英語四、六級考試答案出售,求購者請按以下QQ號和E-mail電子郵件聯系。同時,我市部分大學校園里,也有人在散發著可提供四、六級英語考試答案的小廣告。

帖子撒出后,浙江、河北及我市很多高校的學生紛紛通過QQ號和E-mail電子郵件,與我市高校一大學生胡某聯系。在孔某的關照下,胡負責搜集網上回復的求購消息。為答案交易方便,還有專用手機聯系、郵局個人信箱、銀行賬戶。求購人員購得了答案,就通過個人信箱和銀行賬戶接收郵包和匯款。

冒充監考教師作弊

撒“作弊帖”的主人是孔某,西南農業大學英語教師。為方便作案,作為監考人員的孔某,私下將同場監考人員替換,由同伙冒充監考老師與孔某同場監考。

2002年12月全國英語四級考試。孔某事前籠絡大學生、研究生進行了做題、賣題等分工安排。考試當天,孔提前領取考卷后到女廁所拆封,用電話將作文題目和要求通知在讀研究生徐某、王某等人,讓徐、王等人做好答案后,通過QQ在考前發送給求購者。然后又安排在校生陳某等人將試卷拿去復印,由在讀研究生杜某等人做好語法、填空、閱讀理解題目,并將答案在考前通過QQ號發給買家。

去年12月,孔某等人再次故伎重演。不但通過QQ號,連手機短信也利用起來接收答案。

全國數百學生舞弊

去年12月27日,杭州市公安局查獲浙江工業大學學生郭某從重慶一自稱“楊老師”的女子處購得全國大學四級英語考試試題答案,經教育部認定,該答案的準確率為85%左右。此后,從郭某處聯系購買答案的有110人左右,郭某共收到20萬余元贓款。重慶市有關部門迅速偵查,破獲了倒賣全國大學英語四級考試試題和答案的案件,抓獲了該團伙成員。除教師孔某外,涉及倒賣試題答案的還有其它高校的學生。

警方查明,舞弊人員不僅有重慶本地高校大學生,還包括浙江、河北、廣西等地高校學生,有兩百多人。其中有人購得答案后,還公開傳播,所以舞弊的具體人員還未完全掌握。據查,在這幾次作案中,孔某獲利達19萬多元。

考前一小時鉆空子

國家英語四級考試如同高考。誰給了孔某等人作案的機會?

“教師可以提前1小時領取試卷”。2002年6月,孔某就發現考試中一個管理漏洞,在這期間,可以做出答案,然后通過網上,賺取金錢。孔某正是抓住這個機會開始大肆作案。

大學英語四級考試(CET4)是由教育部主持的一項標準化的、大規模的外語考試,主要面向中國在校非英語專業的廣大學生,旨在保證大學英語教學大綱的實施,考查高校非英語專業學生的英語綜合運用能力。目前,大學英語四級考試成績已成為學校及社會上用人單位衡量學生英語水平的一個重要標準。大學英語四級考試對大學英語教學有著積極的、正面的反撥作用,越來越多的大學生開始重視四級考試,調動了學生英語學習的積極主動性,激發了學習熱情,也在一定程度上使大學英語教學質量得到了相應提高。

一、大學英語四級考試內容改革分析

我國高等教育一直都在不斷深化改革以適應中國社會的不斷進步和中國經濟的迅猛發展,為祖國培養出更加優秀的棟梁之才。大學英語四級考試作為大學英語教學改革的一部分,也在不斷地、穩步地、日趨完善地進行考試題型的改革。早在2005年,全國大學英語四、六級考試委員會就已經對四級考試的內容進行了相應改革,且試卷總分由原來的100分變為710分,成績報道方式由原來的發放考試合格證書改為發放成績報告單。2013年8月,大學英語四級考試內容又有了新的調整,涉及聽力、閱讀、翻譯和完形填空四個方面,其中完形填空徹底被廢除。

(一)聽力改革

聽力部分仍然包括短對話、長對話、短文理解和短文聽寫四個方面。內容有變動的是復合式聽寫部分,原來的復合式聽寫為十道題,七個單詞填空,三個句子聽寫。很多同學都對三個句子聽寫無計可施,只好選擇放棄,可以說,這部分是四級考試中學生的痛點所在。2013年的聽力改革中,把三個句子聽寫去掉,換作了十個題的單詞或短語填空,且考試時間縮短了五分鐘。毋庸置疑,復合式聽寫難度明顯降低,這對于廣大考生而言,無疑是一個令人信心倍增的好消息。

原來的長篇快速閱讀題改為長篇閱讀匹配題。篇章的長度和難度不改變。篇章后面有十個句子,出自篇章的某一個段落,有的段落可能對應兩題,或沒有題相對應,這就要求學生在有限的時間內快速瀏覽題干,抓住關鍵詞,找出每句話所對應的段落。

(三)翻譯改革

2013年大學英語四級考試改革中,最大刀闊斧的調整當屬漢譯英翻譯題的變革。原來的句子翻譯變成了整個段落的翻譯。涉及的內容豐富多彩,包括中國的歷史、經濟、文化和社會發展等方面,長度為140~160個漢字左右。時間從原來的五分鐘增至30分鐘。例如2013年12月份四級考卷中譯英部分出現了“中國結”“與時俱進”“中餐”等中國文化氣息十分濃厚的詞匯。段落翻譯對學生的英語應用能力提出了更高的要求,同時對大學英語教學提出了新的挑戰。

二、大學英語四級考試對非英語專業學生英語學習的正面反撥作用

作為有著悠久歷史的文明古國,中國非常重視考試的作用,往往將其視為公平競爭的一種重要手段,人們也將其視為自我證實、地位提高的一條捷徑。因此,各類高利害考試幾乎都對與之相關的教學有著強烈的反撥作用[2]。大學英語四級考試作為一項標準化的全國性考試必然會對外語教學和應試者產生強烈的正面效應。

大學英語教師應該充分發揮四級考試對英語教學與學生學習的正面反撥作用,使四級考試更好地為大學英語教學服務。

三、大學英語教學模式初探

大學英語教學模式的探索是教與學兩者合二為一的形態變化研究。教與學的結合是人為的,具有很強的可塑性,達到相應的教學效果[3]。教師應該順應時展的需要,改進教學模式,使其更趨科學化、合理化、人性化,更好地激發學生的學習信心和熱情,進而提高教學質量。

(一)增設語法基礎課教學

大學英語四級考試主觀題比例的加大意在測試學生的英語實際應用能力,要想在翻譯和寫作兩方面獲得高分,有扎實的語法功底是必不可少的。筆者所在的學校在公共外語教學這一塊實行了分級教學改革,即在入學之初對非外語專業的學生進行一次英語考試,根據考試成績把學生劃分為A、B和C三個等級,A層以21世紀大學新英語第二冊為起點,B、C層則以第一冊為起點,A、B層采用多媒體授課,C層沿襲原始的黑板授課方式。這是一個因材施教的科學合理化改革。英語基礎好的學生都在A班,教師授課過程順暢,學生領悟快,內容接收消化得也多。B班差了一些,C班就更差了,普遍說來,B、C班的學生語法基礎薄弱,特別是C班,無論是課堂上做漢譯英的練習還是英譯漢的訓練,都會出現非常大的困難,往往影響學生學習的信心和教師教學的熱情,影響教學進度。

現在大學英語一般分為“大學英語讀寫譯”和“大學英語視聽說”兩塊。筆者認為,對于基礎比較差的學生應該增設“語法基礎課”,可以從每學期的64學時中拿出一定的學時進行基礎語法講解與訓練。在講解語法時應把基本句型講解作為重點,因為基本句型是理解文章,提高聽力,搞好翻譯和寫作的基礎[4]。在語法課堂上要給學生提供盡可能多的練習機會,如寫作訓練、翻譯訓練,教師尋找一些有關中國文化、歷史、經濟和社會等方面的熱門話題作為素材,進行段落翻譯或短文寫作,每堂課都調動學生的積極性,讓學生忙碌,參與課堂,而不是像以往那樣,只有老師在不停地說,學生以事不關己的態度悠閑靜聽。教師必須及時地對學生的寫作、翻譯練習做出批改,指出不足,再加強訓練。

語法課的引入會減輕學生一直以來對寫作文、翻譯句子的恐懼心理,假以時日,學生一定會樹立信心,積極主動地學習英語,力爭在各種測試中取得好成績。

(二)讀寫譯課堂教學采取情感式教學、互動式教學有效結合

情感是人類所獨特的心理現象,是影響教師教學行為和學生學習效果的一個重要因素。在大學英語教學中,情感既是教學目標之一,又是教學手段之一。師生之間的情感交流程度直接影響教學成敗[5]。在大學英語教學中,為了提高學生的大學英語四級考試成績,為了提高學生的英語綜合運用能力,更好地發揮大學英語四級考試對英語教學的正面反撥效應,教師要充分考慮到情感因素對教學的促進作用,充分激發學生的學習興趣、課堂參與的熱情,幫助他們建立學習的自信心和成就感。

1.尊重、關注、鼓勵每一位學生,建立良好的師生關系。

學生如果感受到老師的重視和尊重,就會同樣重視、尊重老師,并且為了獲得更多關注,會在課堂上認真聽講,積極發言。學生感受到教師對自己的尊重始于老師很快記住了自己的姓名,老師在課堂、課下喊出自己的名字,對學生來說,這是一個很大的激勵。教師要在記住學生姓名的基礎上,要細心觀察每一位學生,發現他們的優缺點,對他們的優點適時鼓勵,對缺點也要找合適的時機指出。教師要及時關注學生的心理變化,幫助學生解決一些心理問題,特別是對英語成績較差的學生,教師要秉承不放棄、不打擊的原則,經常關心他們,肯定他們所取得的點滴進步。這樣師生互相尊重、互相關注的關系由此建立。兵法說:“知己知彼,百戰不殆。”教師要想提高教學成績,了解學生,構建和諧的師生關系是關鍵。

2.營造輕松的學習氛圍,豐富教學方法,盡可能地創造學生課堂參與的機會。

很多學生反映上英語課比較緊張,怕自己讀課文讀不好,怕問題回答不上,等等。因此,大學英語教師在進行英語教學的同時,一定要考慮學生的這種擔憂心理,想方設法營造輕松的課堂氣氛,讓大家高高興興走進課堂,快快樂樂離開教室。

筆者結合教學經驗提出以下建議:

首先,課堂提問時,不需要同學站立作答,坐在座位上回答問題即可。其次,盡量少讓個別學生讀課文,讓全體學生一起朗讀,在消除學生的緊張感之時還培養了班級團體合作精神。再次,做翻譯句子或習題時,盡量大家一起回答,然后找同學復述即可。最后,教師在講課時要飽含激情,因為激情是教學的生命力,也會深深感染學生,在激情教學的同時,還要采取靈活多樣的教學方法降低課堂焦慮、緊張的消極情感因素。可以在講到某個詞時,讓學生對感興趣的話題進行討論,創造課堂氣氛,激發學生的熱情。例如,在講到“ardent fans”時,可以讓學生說一說自己是哪位韓國明星的狂熱粉絲,大家會展開熱烈討論。也可以讓學生進行分組游戲,減輕課堂學習的疲憊與壓力。

3、讀、寫、譯三位一體,協同發展,最大限度地開發學生潛能。

大學英語教師在充分調動激情,培養學生的積極情感態度的同時,要把閱讀、寫作和翻譯三位一體,最大限度地挖掘學生潛能。首先,教師可以根據每單元的話題,給學生布置寫作任務,或者根據課文內容讓學生進行縮寫訓練,總之每單元都要進行寫作練習,同時教師要及時對學生的作業做出反饋,鼓勵學生發揮優勢,彌補缺陷。其次,在閱讀能力訓練方面,B課文就可當做長篇閱讀匹配題訓練。視學生情況給學生提供時間,在規定的時間內完成閱讀并作出課后閱讀理解題。教師讓學生給出答案并作出講解。在授課過程中,教師要經常設置問題和練習,讓學生積極作答。最后,教師要收集一些貼近四級考試翻譯題型的漢語小短文,在課堂上給學生時間進行翻譯訓練,而后教師公布答案,讓學生自己修改。這樣,在課堂教學中,對學生的讀、寫、譯的能力同時加以訓練,盡可能挖掘學生的英語學習潛能。

(三)聽力課把應試教學與趣味教學相結合

在大學英語四級考試最新題型中,聽力分值的比重已達到35%,我們要充分利用大學英語四級考試的廣泛性和權威性對英語教學的強烈反撥效應,提高廣大師生對聽力課的重視程度。

聽力課的最終宗旨是提高學生的聽力能力,每堂課都應該有同四級考試相關的訓練,始終讓學生記得聽力在四級考試中的分量。同時讓學生了解自己在聽力測試的哪個方面有欠缺,課后加強練習。同時基于聽力課內容比較枯燥這一弊端,教師要采取趣味教學方式,收集一些音頻資料、視頻資料或圖片豐富課堂內容,培養學生的實際聽力能力和交際能力,有效強化教學效果。比如,教師可以選擇一些經典影片、名人演講、世界風景名勝介紹等英文材料,給學生播放,在播放的過程中,遇到好的語句,為學生多播放幾次,讓學生做記錄。

聽力能力的培養與提高僅靠有限的聽力課教學是遠遠不夠的,教師要不時督促學生,提醒學生課后多做聽力訓練,比如可以聽一聽英語新聞,經常聽英語歌,還可以精聽四級聽力考試真題,等等。

四、結語

大學英語四級考試的不斷變革與完善對大學英語教學起到了正面的反撥作用,大學英語教學應該立足于對非英語專業學生進行英語綜合運用能力的培養與提高。教學模式和方法都要與時俱進,做出相應調整與變革,力求充分激發學生的學習興趣與熱情,創建師生和諧關系,發揮學生的課堂主動性,從根本上提高學生的英語運用能力,為學生迎接四級考試打下堅實基礎,為祖國培養高素質的現代化人才。

I’m an American. Years ago, I traveled to the north of Thailand. I loved the heat, the noisy streets, the busy markets and the smell of Thai(泰國的) dishes. I enjoyed my stay there very much. However, there is one thing that I wish I hadn’t done.
